Here is a little known U.S. WWII combat knife from my collection.
Made in Sydney Australia for issue to U.S. forces.

5 7/8" blade with a razor sharp spear point false edge.
The knife is very light weight and easy to carry, yet strong enough to make a formidable weapon.

Blade stock is about .100" thick through the full tang, tapering to a slightly thinner blade spine.

The wood handle, while somewhat small, fits the hand perfectly and gives a good grasp.

Yes it is little kown and rare. I've handled one and tried to add it to the collection. For a while the original Blackjack knives made a good copy. They are rare as well but can be found easier. One of the patterns I llke.

Cheers,

Note on the Blackjack copy. It has a narrower blade than the one I handled. Not a critisism just an observation.
