Has anyone here checked out http://www.the56.com?
It's an online buy/sell/trade forum geared towards those who want to make legal, in-state private gun purchases.

They also have a nifty search function that allows you to search the three biggest online gun auction sites (auction arms, gunbroker, and gunsamerica) by area code, state, and town.

Whaddya think?

It's been around for awhile. (At least a year or so.) And does seem to be a neat idea.

the membership seems a bit low for it to work efficently as a sole place to go to look for sales in my area. but i have bookmarked the page for future reference.
