Just wanted to share what is possible with a Remington X Mark pro trigger-just got a new Remington Model 7 predator (.243), which was too heavy out of the box.
I'm picky about my rifle triggers-a gritty, long or heavy pull is just not fun to me to shoot (I have several American Gold, Timney's and a few with trigger "kit's" I've re-worked).
The X Mark was nice other than it being heavy, so I took it to my gunsmith (Ron at Rays in Dallas-does really good work!) for a tune up.
Set now at a perfect for my use 2 3/4#, very crisp, minimal cost-saved my self a good $150 vs, putting new drop in.

Did you try any tuning videos out there. They are easy to follow and work. What did he charge you to do the work.

Rifle Basix has a trigger for $133 that will safely drop down to 1.5lbs too if a better trigger is wanted down the road.
