I saw a thread in the "group buy, deals, contests" subforum here on THR that said X-treme bullets had lowered their prices. Therefore, I ordered (500) 147g 9mm bullets and (500) 230g 45ACP bullets on 6/15. Both bullet types showed as IN STOCK. My experience with other bullet providers is if they say something is in stock, it ships within 2-3 days max. There was no notice on X-treme's website saying to expect shipping delays.

I sent an email inquiry on 6/23 and they assured me that the bullets had shipped. However they provided a tracking number that did not work with UPS. I emailed them back saying that the tracking number did not work and they said the label had been made but the bullets were still in the warehouse (not shipped).

Today, on 6/26 the bullets I ordered had still not been shipped. I emailed them and told them to cancel my order. Overall, a negative experience. I'll stick with Missouri Bullets where they actually do what they say and have great prices.

I have used X-treme bullets before and they make a good product. However, I would personally not order from X-treme again when other companies have much better service.

They are a high volume seller and they ship slower than others. They are also significantly cheaper.

Missouri Bullet Co does ship fast. And they are a great source for cast.

If you want plated bullets that are shipped very fast and are still a good bargain, order from RMR aka Rocky Mountain Reloading. They are the fastest in fulfilling orders. They are slightly more expensive that Xtreme but they will almost always have your order shipped either the same day it was received or the following morning if the order came late in the day.

I have purchased many thousands of bullets from all three of these companies and will continue to do so in the future. If I want cast I go to MBC, if I want fast I go to RMR, if I want affordable I go to Xtreme. Each of these companies fills a niche. Don't knock them unless they actually fail to meet their commitments. IMO, Xtreme did not fail to meet any commitment or promise made to you.

I'm sorry to hear that happening to you Lopez..

I have had nothing but outstanding results from Xtreme. I shoot them almost exclusively through my semi's and even through some revolvers. Other brands and types (XTPs) are generally used on a full magnum basis only. Otherwise, Xtreme is about all my sidearms eat.

It is unfortunate that the misleading had to happen. A good company, but a bad run with a customer can kill a branch of business right quick. I have experiences some delays before (about a week to ship) and have also had immediate shipping (shipped within hours of purchase). I hope you can chop this up to a manufacturers mistakes and give them another go.

I have just recently bought some bullets from Xtreme and had a great experience with them. Got 3k assorted calibers on a deal they were running a 5% off and $5 shipping for the whole order!! :what:

Admittedly their shipping was a tiny bit slower than RMR which I have used in the past, but the quality seems to be as good as or better than RMR, and their prices were by far better!

I ordered them on 6/17/14 12:19am and received and order confirmation immediately. Then got an email on 6/18/14 at 9:01am with a tracking number that had a delivery date of the 25th. Mind you that it did come from Spokane, Washington all the way to Southeastern PA. There was a weekend involved as well but I got them on 6/25/14 at 1:05pm as promised.

The tracking number did not seem to work properly throughout the shipping, which did make me wonder if they would arrive on time, because lets face it, we all have shooting to do! :D It did make me a bit anxious even though I was in no hurry to get the order. My fears were put to rest as I pulled up in the drive and found 71 pounds of lead and copper on my doorstep!

In short I will use Xtreme again!

P.S.

Used the new bullets in .38 158gn flat point out of my 6" GP100 and was very impressed with the results!

I order all my pistol bullets from xtreme. Never had an issue. I've placed 5 or 6 large orders recently. A couple were shipped within 1 or 2 days. My latest took 5. Can't complain for only $5 shipping though.

My suggestion, don't buy from them. More for me ;)

I got an order from them in about a week maybe a day longer. I didn't check the tracking so don't know if that worked or not but they had a date for delivery on the email and they showed up on that day as promised. Well satisfied.

The have a deal with UPS. They get orders out the door most of the time in two days. But depending on what part of the country you live in it can take UPS a week or more to get it to you. I know it sounds strange but I tracked my order. Never new it could take UPS so long. I will buy from them again, like the product.

No problems

I agree they ship a little slow but I'm fine with that. I don't wait for a shortage to order. I order ahead of time so getting them in 3 days or 7 days doesn't mean a thing to me.
I agree with some posts above. Give them another chance.

I've bought probably 25k extremes so far this year in 9 and 40... yeah, their shipping takes a little while (about a week for me) to get the stuff from the west coast to where I am on the east coast.

My solution is to order them more than 2 days before I need them. If there is a cheaper source of pretty good plated bullets, I'm not aware of it.

After the long shipping times of reloading components over the last few years, for the most part, IMHO, 11 days tain't a long time. Last two orders I got from X-Treme took maybe two weeks. This was because UPS handed them over to the USPS for the home delivery. Great bullets at a good price.

Let me just say that I am not upset by the time it took them to ship the bullets I ordered. I would be completely okay if they took a month or two months to deliver my order but be upfront about the delays in shipping. Again, the bullets I ordered showed in stock on the website.

What rubbed me the wrong way was that I actually spoke with and emailed with two different people who said one thing but did not follow through. I called them the Friday after I placed the online order just to see if the bullets had shipped because I was going out of town and did not want the package sitting outside while I was gone. The girl I spoke with said, "No, I'm so sorry, these have not shipped but I will make sure they ship today and you should have them by next Wednesday." That did not happen.

The email inquiry the next Monday afternoon was because I had not received a tracking number. The person who emailed me back sent me a tracking number and said the order had shipped. I waited two days and the tracking number was still not being recognized by UPS so I emailed them back asking about it and they said (again), "sorry, these have not shipped yet but they are in the warehouse and they will go out today."

That is when I told them to cancel the order.

They might be the cheapest place to order from but I would personally pay a bit more for a comparable product from a different company that can provide a better customer service experience.

I think you may not understand how the economy works!!

Xtreme from a business standpoint they did ship your items. They posted and sent you a tracking number. Once that is done, they have to rely on UPS or USPS or Fed EX to actually come and pick them up. That is out of their control.

Plus as mentioned, in order to provide you with lower product rates and inexpensive shipping costs the shipment changes to USPS final home. THAT can take an extra two days.:banghead:

Patience is a virtue:cuss::banghead:

Still a great product at a great price.

You must be part of this 'gotta have it now generation"???:neener:

Xtreme bullets: I been trying to work up a load with them no luck so far the best group were with the 185 gr. ,the 200 RN shots bad. I still say the 200 Gr. number #1 from Missouri still punch one hole groups with Clay's powder

That sounds very uncharacteristic of my experiences with Xtreme. I've purchased thousands of their bullets and have never had an issue. Their shipping times have slowed some since switching over to a differen method of shipping, but I'm willing to wait for their excellent product.
