I have put 600 rds through mine in 2 sessions. 400 rds was Fiocchi, 100 rds was mixed 185 and 230gr hollow points, and the last 100rd was Fed 230gr Hydra Shocks. Very light lubrication on the rails before I started and no cleaning between the sessions.
Very uneventfult - no failures of any kind. POI is about 1 inch low at 20yds. Windage is fine. I was able to make 2 20yd head shots in under a second. For me, with this type of a trigger and a gun I have very little time with, I am pleased.
I am a 1911 guy, always have been and always will be. My second favorite has always been the P220. I have a couple of those.
I tried a couple of Glocks but they just don't point right. I spend most of my time with 1911's, P220's, and a fair amount of time with a Beretta Elite II. The Glocks were just too slow to get on target and never felt right after dragging the front sight down out of the clouds on presentation.
This is the only XD I have ever fired, but it seems they have done what Glock messed up.
So far, I like this pistol. The trigger stinks, but it doesn't stink any worse than the others that use this type of action, better than some. The loaded chamber, cocked indicator, and grip safety give it a big leg up on the Glocks too in my mind. I also like the idea of having stainless mag bodies instead of polymer.
They have done a wonderful job of getting 13rds of 45 to fit in a smaller grip area. It certainly is smaller than the G21 grip, and it "points" right!
For the money, I think this is going to make a great truck gun! Considering the extra capacity, it might replace one of my 220's!
