Yeeeehaaaaa!!! Just heard from CMP

My M-1 Garand is on the way. Springmom surprised me for my birthday this last summer with the news that CMP had more coming in stock, and that one of them had my name on it!

This morning we got the notice from our bank that their payment had cleared, which means that it's my turn in the chute!

Now we're looking for a good source of ammo for it (any suggestions?), but mainly just terribly excited at this soon-to-be addition to our WW2 collection. I've wanted one of these for years, ever since I found out that CMP existed and what they do.

Can you tell I'm a bit excited?!?!?!?

A&S, order some Greek HXP ammo from CMP. Get the stuff already clipped, if you don't have clips already. It's great ammo, and CMP has it cheap cheap cheap!

I was just going to post a question about this as I ordered one about 2 weeks ago .. does CMP ever notify you that your rifle has been shipped or do you just have to watch your credit card for the charges appear and then the guy shows up "x" number of days later?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give . . .tonight I'm going to be reloading 30-06 in anticipation of it's arrival!
