Once I found this: https://membership.nrahq.org/forms/signup.asp?CampaignID=nranews I considered joining as an "associate" member to send a message to our new vice president who wrote the idiotic yet tyrannical semi auto ban. I'm not considering joining because I like the nra because I don't. HOWEVER I want to send a message to Biden and Friend that the most visible gun lobby just doubled it's membership. A glossy magazine will NOT save the 2nd amendment so I won't miss it. I get my news FASTER from the internet anyway.
I won't get into the laundry list of nra's past behavior which is the reason I haven't joined. If you want to know then PM me. I prefer to focus on how much I love Gun Owners of America for their hard hitting specifics.
We've had a dozen+ threads encouraging people to join the nra since the election. Those of us who sincerely don't like the nra have ignored the call to join, but I hope to reach those who don't like the nra and encourage them to join as an associate member. I believe this is the best way to send a GROUP message to Biden and Friends. I believe it also sends a message to nra that the cost of membership is too high. People will mock that but it's true. Yea yea I know, $35 or $25 is nothing. I get that. But I also understand the mentality of the public. The public sees $35 as money that pays the gas bill. They see it as losing a night out at dinner. HOWEVER, $10 memberships will get a million people to join overnight if they only knew about it.
