Hi folks,
New to the forum so I thought I'd introduce myself. I am (Sam) Mormonsniper. I also enjoyed the Applebees thread. I live in North Central Florida and work for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Lived here 10 years now since I retired from the Army.
I am also a new Grandfather as of three days ago. My daughter is in the Navy and just returned from the Iraqi thing. Proud of her I am. Nice to meet such great people.

Blessings to all,
Mormonsniper

Welcome aboard! There are good people here, how did you hear about thehighroad.org?

Cool handle Mormansniper.

Why do you hate Mormans so much? I am not very devout myself but I don't think you should be promoteing the sniping of Mormans.

A good fellow I work with also wanders here. He told me about THR. We both shoot and he reloads. I will too one day.

Yes, I am a (shameless plug here ;)) Latter-day Saint (or try to be). My friend and I threw together a couple of black rifles this year. Mine is pretty accurate (20" HB SS 1-8" twist, RRA Match trigger, etc.) even with practice ammo.

Heck, Oleg is an equal opportunity employer, we even have a couple of Mormon moderators. :) Welcome.

Glad to have you here, Sam! Glad you plan to start reloading, new guys get to furnish ammo for everyone!

Mormonsniper!

I have a son in your area on a Mission, about 30 miles north of Tampa! He's a heck of a sh0oter himself but they can't do any of that sort of thing while they are out as Misssionary's. Welcome to the Best forum on the net.!!!! :D

We have 4 missionaries in our ward area. They are great young men. I have spoken to all of them and many enjoy the shooting .

Welcome from another newbe. You'll learn to love reloading, whether from the accuracy or the economic perspectives. The realization that you're creating your own blend of "BANG" IMHO is the cake taker.
When you get to doing the deed, may I recommend some reading material(besides all the reloading manuals/How To Books etc.). Absent the flowery accolades, check out this mos. & last mos. Outdoor Life for a II part article by Jim Carmicheal(sp?) on accuracy handloading made simple & inexpensive.
I've been reloading since 1969, & although I'll never claim to be the sharpest knife in the drawer, his article taught me more than I've picked up by myself in the last ten years. GOOD LUCK............Wayne:)
