Picked up a couple Yildiz guns from Academy on sale. Decided for the price I would put my conversion wants to the test. I cut the barrel on the single shot to 18 inches and added a Chazel 18 inch 357 adapter. Also cut a 3/8 inch dovetail and installed a older rear sight along with a soldered on front sight. Added a home made leather butt pad with ammo holder for my 38 special reloads. All in all pretty satisfied with my cheap break open 357 rifle. Second one a over under i also cut barrels to 18 inch for home defense. Also soldered a Ruger front sight to it and currently waiting for a Marble bullseye to install after cutting another dovetail. Added more padding with a butt pad and ammo holder, mini shells shoot real good out of it. All in all very satisfied with the results especially the checkbook. ;) Yildiz shotguns .jpg

Must be the photo perspective but this don't both look 18". I'm sure they are. I looked at the Yildiz guns at Academy myself, not for me, as options for my high school team I coach. The only models they carried were the litter ones like yours and while fairly made and finished would not be right for long term trap use. Good job and enjoy.

Added a Marble bullseye rear sight after hand filing a 3/8 dovetail into the over under.
