Hi, i would like to know when your shooting on target B-27 (silhouette) at 50 yards, do you aim the center of the target or instead your aim the neck?
When you are in competitition and the temperature is cloudy etc if your aim the center it's more difficult because the only thing you can see it's a big black target, and you can't distinguish the center, what do you thing about that, thank you.

I don't shoot PPC, but, I do shoot USPSA and IDPA where most targets average 10-20 yards.

My pistols are sighted in slightly high (6 o'clock hold) at 25 yards and if I get a 50 yard target, I try to hold to the top of the "A" zone. If it's a 75 yard target, holding at the neck will drop them right in.

It depends, in part, on the type of sights you have. If you have an aristocrat combat sight set-up your front sight blade will have three "positions" you can set up for individual yard lines. To answer your question, I would set your "50" yard line sight to impact the X ring by aiming at the head or neck, depending on the type of sight picture you prefer. I have also heard of guys aiming at the small immage of the target in the upper left corner of the target (if you can see it at the 50) and adding 'wind' to your rear sight to compensate for the extreme left hold. If you dont have a set-up with multiple front sight blade positions, you can add and subtract elevation from you rear sight to aim at the head or neck at the 50, just like you would for service rifle.

I shot my PPC revolver yesterday at 25 and 50. I hold head at 50 and neck at 25. This is not so much by design but thats where it grouped yesterday . I thought I had sighted 25 for the head but the groups were high so I just changed to neck hold at 25. Aristocrat 3 position sight rib on mine.

A friend of mine has a PPC gun with the rear sight adjustable. Set up for center of mass close & neck hold at 50 with proper sight adjustment.

I shot a few PPC matches with non-adustable sight & just altered my POA.
