Whats your 1 favorite brand and flavor of each cal you stock pile?

Example, i own just about every millitary cal gun out there but only stock pile

Cal Favorite brand
223/5.56 South African M193 and FN Portugese M855

308/7.62 Port/LC

45ACP WWB

Lets see the fav cals and flavors of Super secret stashes/SHTF ammo

American Eagle 9mm! Cause when the zombies come, those little red boxes of 9mm will stand out to anyone who's played any of the Resident Evil games.

I like Black Hills 55gr FMJ red box for my AR. Cheap, clean, and accurate. Sportsman's Warehouse got a shipment in last year, picked up about 400 rounds of it, burned through 300, still have 100, and haven't been able to find a reasonable price on it since (also, began reloading since then, so haven't really been actively searching).

For my .45 I like American Eagle 230gr FMJ. I'd like to get ahold of some Doubletap for it and see how it does, and possibly stockpile it later on. Got some for my .40 (155gr GDHP), and haven't made it to the range to try them yet.

12 gauge, I have a mix of slugs and buckshot. Before I joined the military and went overseas, I bought one of those 50 round bandoleers and had alternating red and green (Remington and Winchester) christmas colors in each loop. It's still at my parent's house, somewhere.

American made military spec, in all calibers. I can remember back to 1965-1970 when it was free, all you had to do was wear a green suit!

I was always partial to what ever Uncle Sam was passin' out. Free and they always seem to have plenty of it.

Federal M855 or AE red box for my AR15.

Winchester WB or Federal AE red box for my pistols (usually Gold Dot HP's for defense use though)

Wolf for my AK's.

Remington peters shotgun ammo

Seller and bellot rifle ammo

Federal 38special/357

A lot of my guns seem to like Remington. Old-school green box SJHP for .357 magnum, and Rem Scirocco for .243 Win, or "low-cost" Rem Core-Lokt.

Rem's kingly prices are too much for my plinking ammo, but that's what I use when it matters.

Generally Federal for rifle and Speer for handgun, CCI or Federal for rimfire.

Federal and Brenneke for shotgun social work and whatever is on the shelf for whacking small game and feathered things.

However, my choice of ammo really depends on application.

I really llike the rocky brand stuff---- have a friend that loads! Nicest shooting shells I have ever had in a 629 Smith&wesson. only cloverleaf group I have ever had. Old Elmer Keith recipie!:)

S&B for all handgun calibers.

Remington Blue box for 22LR out of a pistol
Aquila for other 22LR

Portugese milsurp for .308 but there's none left
Wolf for 7.62X39

Remington for RF, SG and CF that I do not make.

Over the years I have shot far more of my own that any other.

Home Made Ammo! its the best and cheapest there is!
That was truer a few years back than now.

Used to be I could handload for about 1/4 the cost of commercial and 1/2 the cost of mil-surp.

Not true anymore what with the cost of components skyrocketing. Used to be I could make .40 S&W and 9mm for about 1/2 commercial - now the difference isn't worth my time. It's still worth it to HL .45ACP and 45 Colt but just barely.

Quality wise though, there's still no comparison. My handloads do exactly what I want them to do with more consistency than any commercial load.

But at some point the difference becomes essentially meaningless.
