Brand new Steyr HS50. It had been *the* rifle on display at SHOT, and my FFL is in pretty well with the folks there. He got me a pretty good deal on it. Actually, he got me a SMOKING deal on it.

Funny part was, when I called in to Steyr to talk about optics, I wanted to verify that the ring/mount set-up would work well with the rifle. Whoever I talked to knew which rifle I'd bought, and laughed, and said "that's exactly the optic and mounts we had on it at SHOT."

Probably my best purchase in terms of discount/savings on a new rifle off list. Also, it feels like one of my best purchases because it's such a great rifle.

Picked up an FN 5.7 IOM version about four years ago for $425 or so. The total number of that particular model ever imported seems to be in the low 4 digits, and that would be a good price even for the more common 5.7 versions.

Mannlicher Schoenauer .458 Win Mag in prestine condition, seven boxes of factory ammo and an original velvet lined Outer's steel hard case all for $795.00. And I got this from a gun shop.

Ruger single six a year ago for 125. Same shop same day my buddy bought a rougher one w shorter barrel for 100. Both polished out nicely and are wonderful shooters. Sold mine for 250 a couple weeks ago so I could buy a 9 inch sngle six. It was sold by the time I got back to the pawn shop tho.

LNIB 22/32 Kit Gun, circa 1954 for 500. Bought it in a Jersey gun shop. A widow sold it to them. She also sold them a 38sp snubbie as well. My wife said "buy that one too, if you want it" I didn't.
