It shows my age but my mother used to tell me my favorite song as an infant was "Pistol Packing Mama." Jeeze, was I a gun enthusiast even then?

Superstar(Eyes off me) by Trip Lee.

It talks about GLOCK for one line lol

Gimme back my bullets- skynyrd
Seven Spanish angels- Ray Charles & Willie Nelson
El Paso- Marty Robbins

"Machinegun" by Jimmy Hendrix...

Then theres the Alaskan ballad "The 30-06 on the wall"...author unknown to me....but truly a mans most failthfull friend....

"Guns of Brixton" by The Clash

When they kick in your front door
How you gonna come?
With your hands on your head
Or on the trigger of your gun

When the law break in
How you gonna go?
Shot down on the pavement
Or waiting in death row

You can crush us
You can bruise us
But you'll have to answer to
Oh, Guns of Brixton

The money feels good
And your life you like it well
But surely your time will come
As in heaven, as in hell

You see, he feels like Ivan
BORN under the Brixton sun
His game is called survivin'
At the end of the harder they come

You know it means no mercy
They caught him with a gun
No need for the Black Maria
Goodbye to the Brixton sun

You can crush us
You can bruise us
But you'll have to answer to
Oh-the guns of Brixton

When they kick out your front door
How you gonna come?
With your hands on your head
Or on the trigger of your gun

You can crush us
You can bruise us
And even shoot us
But oh- the guns of Brixton

Shot down on the pavement
Waiting in death row
His game was survivin'
As in heaven as in hell

You can crush us
You can bruise us
But you'll have to answer to
Oh, the guns of Brixton
Oh, the guns of Brixton

Not so much guns specifically but:

Citizen Soldier - 3 Doors Down
"the strongest among you may not wear a crown"

I think the folks here at THR get that message, unfortunately there's too many "(Politician) Do No Harm" folks running around this country right now that don't.

Kodiak,
I can't help but to add, 32-20 Blues was actually written and performed by Skip James first ( though it was titled 22-20 Blues). RJs version was good, but Skip's was better (as Skip James is the superior Delta Blues man :neener:). I have to say the original is my all time favorite gun song. You'd be hard pressed to find better a musical genre as raw and perfect as Delta Blues.

easyg,
Good shot on Guns of Brixton. It's definitely one of my favorites too. I grew up on that song/band. It has a very special place in my music loving heart.
