Well OK, FINE...
2nd Best Story....
At Gunston Hall Va during a British formation for a battle reenactment, a tourist lady walks right into the center of the formation, right up to the Command Sergeant Major, and asks him, "Hey why are those guys wearing green?" We suppose that the fact that all of us but one unit were in red coats (the unit that had caught her eye was German Jaegers in green coats) confused the woman, but instead of asking somebody near to her she thought why not walk straight through the formation as we were preparing to start the battle....
The Sergeant Major said, "Madam we are forming the army". She replied, "But I really want to know,..now..., why they are in green".
The Sergeant Major drew a heavy sigh, then replied, "Very well....they're not ripe yet, Madam." And walked away from her to the chuckling and applause of the rest of the crowd.
