I've tried a couple of different types of targets like the good ole silhouette targets and the shoot and see ones, but i can't get away from those awesome zombie targets. Have ya'll tried them if so how did you like them

I like relatively small targets -- I was taught aim small, miss small. I've learned to shoot at plalying cards -- I like the 10 of clubs

In terms of paper targets, I like the B27s and the B27Rs, because I too have been schooled in the academy of Aim-small; miss-miss. :) When using the iron sights, I strive to place a full pistol magazine of rounds into each 1" number on the targets at 25 yards. It is an extreme challenge. It sure cuts down on the cost of targets. When point-shooting, I simply try to keep center-of-mass. However, the OP's question now answered, I will add that my favorite target is steel. :)

I must be really cheep.

i buy a 500 pack of paper plates and a . 50 cent pack of colored round dots like for a garage sale,
i get about 2 months out of 500 targets and spent about 4 bucks.

i usually use a target that has a bunch of 1" bulls on it

i save all of my soy milk containers, fill em with water and line em up on the 300yd berm, then i'll try to shoot the caps off with a scoped rifle and blow them up with my mosin or something

zombie targets sound entertaining

Oranges on mud or floating.

Or a $3.00 cantalope from Kroger, also floating. Even when a Wolf x39 jhp splits it into a few pieces, enough is visible to either shatter or bounce around.
How can paper be fun? And you don't have to wait ten looong minutes for the guy ("The Jackal") next to you to notice that the other two people are no longer shooting.
It's so frustrating-difficult to describe-that I'm probably going to quit the really expensive range.

I love the Shoot-n-C targets, but they are getting expensive the more I shoot the pistols. They are great for rifle shooting tho.
I usually keep a bunch of empty 8oz drink bottles in the back of my truck. I like to put one up in the tree over top of my shootnc targets. Its fun to transition to the high target and watch it fly out of the tree. (If I dont miss)

I need to build a target stand to set up in the path, there numerous pine trees with fatal GSWs where I shoot. LOL FMJs go through, JHPs typically dont.

I use these two targets for most of my for pistol and rifle target shooting at any range.

At first I didn't especially like this head target but it's fast becoming a favorite.

I buy the cheapest ink I can find on the internet and set the printer on the worst draft quality and print up hundreds/thousands of them.

I also like to shoot clay pigeons.

My favorite target is a propane cylinder with a lit road flare in front of it. I always keep a fire extinguisher handy. Also computer moniters, super beta max VCRs, TVs, golf balls, gatoraid bottels ect.

+1 on reactive targets. full soda cans left a bit to be desired, even at 25yds with a mosin...not a fair fight, i know. :)
standard size cans of Campbell's cream of mushroom soup are interesting too. sometimes I'll throw an empty plastic ammo block out on the 25 yd berm and see how many times I can make it jump before I can't see the pieces anymore. pretty much anything that breaks, blows up, falls over, jumps, or flies when I hit it is fun for me.

My son shot an empty propane bottle yesterday. One of those little green ones we use in our deer stands for the heaters. Mush have had a little gas left in it because it went up and over about 100 yds and landed in the pond.

Some here may froun on this but we thought it was cool. From 100+ yds with a 308 it was also safe IMHO.

I also like reactive targets. Since I work outside, I tend to drink alot of water/sports drinks during the day. I save the majority of those bottles. I 've even gone as far as raiding the recycling bags at my house for more bottles.

I'm always up for stuff I don't have to clean up as well. Pumpkins and any sort of veggie like squash and tomatos are good too.

Unless I am shooting to sight in or verify my zero, paper is boring.

Well, that's an extreme use of it. Most people keep it at 2# or less.

My favorite target is a propane cylinder with a lit road flare in front of it.

Same here, although I'm gonna have to rig a 'cage' of sorts for the cylinder so it doesn't go flipping off into the weeds.

I've discovered old out of date steel air tanks work really well and last forever. They make a very satisfying PING when hit.

My favorite target would probably be something metal. It makes a sound, moves, and lasts a very long time.

Cans of cheap pop are fun too, but get pricey.
