Uh... I don't have any of the fancy names.
But I do have an always knife. And I work wood for a living, so it's a good'un, despite it's lack of prestige.
Has no name that I can find in the catalog, other than "utility knife".
Made by Klein Tools of Japan, a supplier of electrician's tools.
2-ish inch drop-point lock-blade folder. Stainless body with a rosewood accent strip riunning down the middle. Blade marked "Klein tools inc. Japan" on one side, "44033" on the other. Is that 440-33 an alloy designation?
Got it at an electrical supply place after I lost my first one, which I'd found on the roof of a building with the tip of the blade broken off. Cost was $22.95
Nice ergonomics. VERY solid construction. Holds an edge better than any knife in my experience.
This blade has shaved delicate little curls off of the back edge of a S&W factory knife, and stayed sharp. It'll whittle aluminum and mild steel with relative ease. I have no idea what it's made of, but it's nothing short of amazing. It is incredibly tough.
I have a spare. They're inexpensive! It's done everything I've ever needed a knife to do, including withstand shocking abuse.
I found a belt-size model at a gunshow once. Blade's about 3 1/2 inches, same configuration and markings, just bigger. Got it for $30. It's neatly the size of my Buck 110. Never seen another, anywhere. I'm afraid to lose it, so it stays home. It's a bit big for a pocket, mostly.
I dunno. It's a $23 knife, but It'll stand with the best. Because I have it, I've felt absolutely NO NEED to suplement my blade equipment with any of the gunowners standards. Even the Buck 110 (A gift from my father.) sits in a drawer, gathering dust.
