My procedure is different for rifle or handgun.

+1.

Rifle: Deprime using a Lyman Universal Decapping Die, then tumble, then body size using Imperial Sizing Die Wax, wipe off wax, then neck size using TiN bushing without lube.

Handgun: Tumble, then deprime and resize with carbide die without lube. Only exception is .45 Colt, which I purposely bought a steel die for since it is a tapered case, and which I lube and partially resize.

Handgun - tumble in corncob before anything else, never mixing calibers. Lightly spray with lanolin/alcohol lube (even with Carbide dies, i lube the shells), let dry, hit the press and reload. If too much lube remains, I'll tumble the finished ones for 10-15 mins.

This has been discussed over and over again. The ammo companies even tumble loaded ammo. Members here have run experiments over and over. Sorry it just doesn't happen. Sounds feasible but is untrue.

I Would think that it would be fine with compressed charges, but i wouldn't do it anyway regardless of others results. To each his own i guess.

Whatever!

Well, perhaps i lied! I've learned some interesting things from you gents such as using car polish, so if you insist that it's fine...it must be since you and your firearms are still here. I do believe i will give it a try. I've been rolling my loads on a towel dampened with lighter fluid in the past to get rid of the lube and tumbling would indeed be much easier.

I'm not good at using the search function, never could figure it out.

There are members here who tumbled loaded for days and days then when taking the rounds apart found no harm done. I would post a link to the thread but have no idea how to use the search function using multiable words.
