How much is the match you mentioned in Laughlin that only has 7 stages?

The price is listed on the website, and it includes the match entry fee, a match t-shirt, and a banquet ticket (I misstyped, there are 8 individual stages.)

I'm not at liberty to discuss exactly what the stages entail, but they're up to our usual standards or higher. The range we're using this year is largely undeveloped, natural terrain, but that's better for the stuff we do than developed ranges.

That sounds like a hell of a lot of fun.

Hmmmm.

(looking around safe for potential 3 gun stuff)

Dr.Rob,

The Eastern Colorado IPSC home-page has a schedule that includes the local 3Gun matches: http://www.ecouspsa.com/schedule.html Yesterday (Sunday Aug 31) was a match up at Dumont, and I think the next one is September 20th at the Aurora Gun Club.

All you need is a suitable pistol and practical holster, any shotgun, and preferrably an autoloading rifle. I just shoot my single-stack 1911. Most people shoot Benelli or Remington shotguns, but a pump will do fine. Finally, pretty much any carbine or battle rifle will work. The most common is an AR-15, but at Sunday's match we had an M1A Scout, a few AK's, and I brought my FAL. If you need other gear like shotgun shell carriers or a rifle mag pouch, I'm sure someone would share.

Pictures!

The photo-lab screwed up scanning my film so the full picture set isn't done, but here are some I managed to get up:

Stage 1. Zak engaging far slug plates. Behind the wall are twelve plates interspersed with five "no-shoot" poppers.
