Can't believe that I'm starting a new thread on this topic (moderators shut it down quickly if inappropriate...) but there are several new issues to consider by those that are interested in the aftermath of this case....
Now that he's been found not guilty I note that some are speculating about a federal Civil Rights case. I believe in this instance the fact that the shooter was not a cop and was not a member of any hate group means a very low possibility of a federal criminal case. Anyone with more knowledge please chime in....
Lastly, here in Florida we have comparative negligence as far as civil judgments go (at least that's what I was taught and lived by when I was a cop here). It would be great if one of our lawyers would speak up about comparative negligence and what it will mean for this case as it moves into civil territory...
