Looks like fun to me. Makes me wonder what comments were made by the old west revolver cowboys when the first auto loaders started to show up.

At $200 - $220 dollars I'd buy one in a heartbeat ... maybe a brace for me and the wife.

Under a primary weapon ,it would make a FTF transition faster than drawing a second gun.

And with a 25 round mag in place that would be a bad end to be facing if your the perp.

I would get one or 2 in a heartbeat IF they were priced very reasonable = and they should be.

Mounting that under a rifle turns that handgun into a "short barrelled rifle" which requires a $200 NFA tax stamp.

If your primary weapon didn't stop the threat I doubt a .22LR slung under the barrel should be anyones backup plan.

I'll take a 9mm/40/45 handgun in a belt holster over a gimmicky video gamers .22 rimfire wet dream any day.

Yup, sounds great:rolleyes:. Does anyone else remember that 6 years ago Ruger, Browning, S&W and other quality .22 pistols were all around the $220 price point? I know inflation and rising costs for manufacturers plays a part but I just expect way more for $220 buck than a NERF toy that fires .22lr
 
Someone is going to put a round in their support hand, I just wonder if we'll ever hear about it.

The Zip thing is a separate endeavor & has not replaced them.

I'll end up buying one as a stupid toy. And I really don't get the complaints and nay-saying.
"it makes a SBR if you mount it" ... well, duh
"it doesn't have a purpose" ... neither do most guns, really
"it looks ugly" ... so do most modern guns

Obviously there's no practical purpose for it, but it is a cheap toy that takes 10/22 mags (already have dozens!) and .22lr ammo (I have plenty)

I bet it is more comfortable to hold with a normal 10/22 rotary mag mounted, also.
And what if I mount a longer barrel and add a stock? Granted, I'll have spent too much money to make a substandard 10/22, but the BATFE has finally admitted that they can't enforce the stupid "pistol into rifle and back into pistol" rules in the first place.

I'm sorry but that's just utterly silly on any number if levels.

That said I'm not sure I understand all of the hate for this thing. It's a cheap, modular firearm running on cheap ammo that takes some of the most reliable and ubiquitous magazines available.

On top of that, even if it's not a revolutionary or useful gun, is an example of non- standard thinking, which this industry could use more of.

I doubt that I'll buy one,but I think it's awesome that someone not only came up with the idea, but plan to bring it to market.

Tl;Dr: Not sure if it's a useful gun, but I like the idea for the sheer novelty of it.

I kinda like it. It has a 5 inch, or so, barrel. That is interesting. I will say that for $215 I have seen a lot worse. I need a .22 handgun, but I might prefer spending more for something that looks more ergonomic.

I'd like a gun that was wallet shaped (and sized) though, so they might be on to a new BUG style gun.

I would have to hold one myself though, it looks like it would take me forever to index a shooting grip on it.

I just checked out the product photos closer. What are the two protrusions above the barrel supposed to be for?

The marketing. USRA went overboard trying to distance themselves from their conservative product line and tried to build buzz by appealing to a rock solid base: 12-year olds. Instead of focussing on the novelty of the thing, they chose to position it as the answer to a question no one asked--how to get the least amount of firepower for the most paperwork. No one seems to have told them that, outside the ghetto, most gun buyers are adults.

It's a shame, because if you can forget about all that idiotic under barrel mounting stuff, this firearm brings some interesting features to the market at not too bad a price. I wouldn't buy one, but at least it's innovative.

Look closer and one is "restrike" and the other is "reload" (or similar, I didn't reference the actual photo for this)
Read the manual (available on the website already) and you'll find that one is to recock the striker and the other is to cycle the bolt

If the barrel was about 2.5cm longer, I'd have less concerns about those controls, the thing will require the same discipline as a NAA mini to keep fingers out from the front of the muzzle.
 
Not being one myself, I wonder if this has use for actual real "operators"? The only thing I can think it might be good for is suppressing it and using it against guard dogs and such. I imagine a suppressed 22LR is much quieter than a suppressed 5.56/7.62. So, it would allow someone access to a suppressed 22LR pistol without having to transition from the primary long gun to a secondary sidearm. Or maybe not?

One of them is the charging handle and the other allows you to re-cock the gun if you have a round that doesn't fire.
