Just got a new Teslong Bore Scope

I gotta ask, how did people shoot accurately before the borescope was invented? Proper procedures, more specifically consistent procedures will produce predictable results. One does not need a bore scope to know their barrel is sufficiently cleaned. Now, “sufficiently” means a lot of different things to different people and that’s proven in the previous posts. I’m in the ignorance is bliss camp, I have family, a career, and other hobbies. I can’t sit at home like a tweeker and lose sleep over how clean my barrel is. If it shoots good, that is all I can ask. I stepped back from another forum because everyone had to measure their weiners, looks like this place is about the same.

At times folks cannot shoot accurately because their guns are dirty. "Proper procedures" aside, how do you know your "procedure" is effective? A bore scope is just another tool that can be used to good effect. Use it or don't. Some tools just make the job easier. We're here learning from one another. There are some true experts on this forum. You may think that when they give you advice they are "measur[ing] their weiners" or that they are being arrogant, but they are not. If you ask, they will give you the best advise that that they can based upon their knowledge and experience. You may not like or agree with what they tell you, but you're free to disregard it. But it's foolish not to at least consider it. Copper and carbon eventually take their toll on barrels and accuracy. But the bottom line is that it is your gun and your shooting. Treat them as you wish.
