I got my elk, a respectable large-end 5x5 but no Forest Monster, at 173 yards with 180 grs Sierra SPBT over 56.2 grs H4350. Quartering, just off broadside. Through and through, total destruction of both lungs. Clearly delivered both excellent penetration and expansion. He took four wobbly steps, dropped, and was gone by the time I had walked to him.
All I asked you was, if you are loading a premium 165gr bullet in the form of an AccuBond why when you moved up in weight to a 180gr bullet did you step down to a GameKing bullet? If the AccuBond is good enough in 165gr why not in 180gr too. Or, if the GameKing is good in 180gr why not in 165gr too?
