Never know what you’re going to find

BTW, I just picked up a custom Galco Jackass Rig for my P89 in an EBay box lot that cost me $23.00 total.

And no, I'm not giving it away!

I'm still sorting out the other holsters, mag pouches, shoulder rigs, buckles, belts, etc.

Is that a gen II UBR stock? If so do you like it better than the gen I?

I'm thinking about putting one on a 10mm Kriss Carbine.

Yes, it's a Gen II UBR. I like it for two reasons. One is that it's lighter then the Gen I the other is that it cost less. I bought it to replace the Eurgo stock on my Jack Build.
If I told you what I paid for it, you wold cry. But for everything in that pic, it came to a total of $280.:)

It's called BIMNIL Syndrome - "But I Might Need It Later".

Sounds very much like my son too! He has played a lot of Fallout and is currently into Warframe, probably because he says he can play it for free! With Fallout4 his favorite weapons are a silenced shotgun and a minigun that fires explosive rounds; I have no doubt Gunny probably has both of these weapons somewhere around his gun room!

Gunny, read the entire 20 pages and I must say I am impressed (jealous?) both with your collection and how much you have cleaned and organized. I just retired and found several big boxes of old on and off duty gear, sam brownes, holsters, other equipment. etc. going back to 1980 I need to dig through and your quest has motivated me. Not sure I will find the cool stuff you did but it is a start for us mere mortals.

I'm Glad that this thread was able to motivate you. I bet you will find all kind of cool stuff, even tho you may see some of it as just stuff.
A lot of the things I have are just stuff that I didn't sell or throw away. But as they say, "One man's treasure is another man's junk", or is that the other way around. ;)

It’s nice to see some updates
How about some updated pics of the bench(es) and shop?

FYI it looks like it’s going to warm up here in Va this week. It might even be warm enough to venture to Lowe’s to get the stuff to build the bench we discussed. I’ve taken ideas from the plans you sent me and searched for lots of other ideas so think I have a good idea of what I want. But any other suggestions are welcome!

If I don’t stop bringing things home, I’ll never get my shop finished.
This 50 cal can with 1000 rds of CBC 230gr 45 Auto made it home with me today. Boy is It heavy.
Take it as a sign; it's time to reflect on what you have accomplished, remember why you are doing it, and have some fun!

Yeah I have a hard enough time just toting around one those UMC .45 ACP with 250 rounds in it!

But here’s a little something.
30 Carbine charging clips.

A set of Gunny chevrons, still in the box.

The handmade Coors belt buckle and cocoa shell necklace, I picked up in the Philippines back in 1983. Boy do they bring back good memories.

Too funny. Gunny, my furry child in my profile pic managed to go into my room and do that. It seems he went nuts when I went outside and he could hear me near the window. Thankfully it’s not as bad as your pic so the damaged blind is ok until I get to Wally Mart to fix it.

As for being busy, we know we saw your handy work on that beautiful AR you put together for your friend!

Here’s something else that’s been on my bench, don’t know how it made it’s way there.
Back in the 80s Dungeons and Dragons was a game all the kids plaid, but being young Marines we needed something a little more. I bought this game new some time in 1983 or 84. For som unknown reason I’ve kept it all these years. Must have a little bit of a geek in me.:)
