It’s been like that for the last 25 years or so, just sitting on the bench to keep me company when I work on something.
My daughter was very close to her grandfather, he passed before my sons were born. I think I will clean it up today and give it to my daughter tomorrow on Christmas Day.
Great idea
I’m sure she’ll love it as that’s a great thoughtful present.
Please take a pic of it cleaned up before you give it to her.

Truly a most outstanding idea! An excellent present to give her in remembrance of her Grandfather. You are the best Gunny!

I am curious about your opinion of the Mission First Tactical buttstock. I happened to watch a video by Scootch00 last night where he reviewed and tested the MFT. He gave it a favorable rating.

I really like it on a lightweight rifle. I have them on two of my rifles.

Would care to share some details on your lightweight build? I have a couple of stripped lowers that need to be completed (in addition to the purple project).

I would love to scratch through some of those odd cartridges that are in some of your pictures. Thanks for sharing your clean up efforts.

I called my daughter today from work at 6 am and told not to open her gift till I got there.
When I arrived at 2pm I asked her about her gift. She told me that she had already opened it before I had called. The she started crying. She hugged me and thanked me. She said it was the best Christmas present she had ever gotten. She said she remembered her Paw Paw’s knife was always on the bench.
Maybe I’ll find something else in my shop for her.

Nicely done
And a great reminder that the best presents aren’t the ones we pay the most for but rather that we put the most thought into.

You can't put a price on memories like that. Enjoy and hold onto every memory like that with your kids.

It's obvious to me that the Russians are behind cluttering your shop. Mueller will be in touch.

Isn't it obvious...Aliens from Outer Space have secretly been using your shop as a dumping ground for all of their used samples from Earth!
