250 rounds plus an ammo can.
Start reloading. It’s what I had to do. I worked out it’s $35 per hundred. That’s for the hottest ammo you could possibly make using published data.
That's a little on the high side isn't it. 158gr JSPs bullets are ~$13/100. Add primer for $4 and $10 for powder. That's only $27/100ct. Commercial, like Fiocchi can be had for ~$30/100ct. Are you counting the brass cost in your reloads?
I can only get XTP’s locally. They are $19.99/100ct. Not factoring brass. That's a little on the high side isn't it. 158gr JSPs bullets are ~$13/100. Add primer for $4 and $10 for powder. I used to reload, but found that the time spent reloading, plus the cost of having decent reloading equipment, didn't justify the savings over buying factory ammo.
I've found the opposite. Even buying bullets for things like .357 Mag, .44 Mag, 10MM, and .45 ACP I can at a minimum reload 2X as much as buying factory. I cast my own bullets though, so my actual costs are quite low. $6-$9/100 for all the above listed.

Here are some links for PMC Bronze 158 grain JSP ammo. It’s decent ammo for the price.
Best price.

I shot some older 158gr PMC JFP .357 and that stuff was HOT!! It felt and sounded like a grenade going off in your hand. A little concussive blast never hurt anyone though.
It was fun to shoot but it also flame cut the top strap on my Model 66 a little bit after 50 rnds.
