Start a thread about ammo shortages/price gouging....Oh wait......
Not to talk down to you but look to see that you don't file it into a degree of magnetism. Even grade-8s can be mildly magnetic and that can be heightened by filing.Exercise should come first.
I'm going to make a hand for a revolver. Factory was mild steel. I'm going to use a grade 8 bolt and slowly file it to shape. It should take about 2 weeks.
Thanks for the heads up. I usually weld up parts and file them into shape. Not to talk down to you but look to see that you don't file it into a degree of magnetism. Even grade-8s can be mildly magnetic and that can be heightened by filing.
If it is coming to be, your filings will let you know. Easy enough to undo and especially by the time the piece is as small as a hand.
Todd.
Building a 1911 out of a 80% kit. Complete with at home Parkerizing and Anodizing. Between Brownells and Amazon, I have only needed to grab a few things in town before the self imposed quarantine started.
I feel about honeydo projects like Maynard G. Krebbs used to feel about work.
Hilarious. I bought some decent bourbon and am re watching some spaghetti westererns.I'm not planning to wear pants for two weeks.
Really wish I had one of those about now.Dry fire (I have a laser bullet thing that's pretty nice) and reloading.
You've probably changed orientation and filing direction enough to avoid it.Thanks for the heads up. I usually weld up parts and file them into shape.
My old mig died and I haven't replaced it.
I've never magnetized metal by filling, so I must have not done it enough.
Really wish I had one of those about now.
wonderful idea. I’m thinking of doing an 80% Glock.
