Everybody here is stir crazy, just like most of you probably are. My girls want to get outside and do stuff but they have played with all of their toys to a point that they are bored with them. They have been asking to go shoot since I got them their 22 rifle, but this corona mess is in the way of that.
I finally broke down and bought them a BB gun. I was very hesitant to do so because the ones my sister bought a couple years ago were pure trash. Inconsistent shots both in velocity and point of impact, and so bad in fact that it was detrimental to my niece and nephew learning to aim because anything they tried was not making for repeated hits. Walmart is about the only option for air guns for me. Academy stays sold out of the cheaper guns that I am willing to buy, and TSC is overpriced so...Walmart it is. They didn’t have the pink gun I was looking for, but they had this one which is my oldest daughters favorite color. I will buy a pink one when I find one, but for now they can share. The lever carbine look is neat too, and is pretty comfortable.
Reading reviews after the purchase usually isn’t good, and some poor reviews led me to open up the box and test drive this little thing, and I can honestly say that I’m pleasantly surprised. It shoots well, and it is consistent. For $35 total with tax and a 6000ct can of bbs I didn’t think it was bad at all. Now to get rid of this wet stuff falling from the sky... I already figured out it’s coke can accurate out to 25 yards. That’s plenty to teach good habits, and keep them interested, while also good for running the squirrels out of the garden. I think daddy did a good job... so I’m off to treat myself to some Popeyes mashed potatoes. Range reports with youngsters to follow!!!
