I have always liked guns and have bought several over the years. I was lucky to work in the firearms section of a large State Crime Lab where I had access to just about every handgun that has been on the market since the 70’s.
The back wall of the gun vault is full of handguns. This included just about every striker fire gun made through the 90’s. New guns were being added all the time.
My job was shooting evidence guns for my department and matching them to shootings. In the seven years of working in the lab, I fired over 8,000 guns, which covered just about every striker fire handgun on the market.
I also own a variety of different striker fire handgun. And carried Glocks as duty weapons. Here are some of the striker fire handguns that I own, I’ve added a few more after this pic was taken.
I do like Glocks, have since the day I first shot one. When the M&P came out, I got to shoot a few that came through evidence. I wanted a new striker fire pistols chambered in 45 Auto at the time and found the M&P fit me better then others. I liked the fact that the slide was stainless steel and that S&W had spent approximately $40,000 in designing the grip frame. It feels really good in my hands. I later added a 9mm M&P and when the M2.0 came out, I bought the FDE model with the 5 inch barrel.
Out of the Glocks I really like my G45, even better then the 19X, but my favorite striker fire pistols is the M&P. It just has that better feel and I can shoot it a little better then my Glocks.
