The tube station company always leaves their extra supplies when they are done with a job, last time it was some 6" pipe for the carriers and a bunch of strut channel they use for mounting transfer stations in the ceiling. So naturally I squirreled it away in the old X-Ray shed where they used to store old film. That was a couple of years or so ago. A couple of months ago it came to me that I could use it to make a good PRS/NRL-22 type barricade to shoot off of, so I did some measuring, cutting, welding, and made one. Today I put it in the ground (Ran short on concrete, but that's an easy fix.)
This pic makes it look around level with the shooting platform, but I am standing downhill from it for the pic. The ground
there is several feet below the platform and the highest part of it is below deck level, and way below the bench top.
The elevations are 2', 3', 4', & 5' above ground level. Shoot those, then drop down to the cross bar, or whatever, kids stay low.
This pic shows how low it is compared to the deck, bottom right in the pic is part of the bench top.
Any shots from the deck will be (should be) well over it. Hot and humid today, whew.
