A couple months ago I was in the LGS and seen that they had a P320 FCU for sale under the glass counter with the other guns. Then today I seen online module kits with the lower frame, slide, barrel, recoil spring, and magazine. This one was for 40 S&W. The web site didn't list who produced the kit.
Are the module kits common out there? Are they only offered by Sig Sauer only, or are there 3rd parties producing them as well? My understanding is that there are 2 FCU sizes. One for 9mm up to 40 S&W. And the other is for 45 Auto. I would like either the 40 S&W or a 357 SIG.
I have a couple Ruger American pistols, and I like how easy it is to pull out the FCU to deep clean. And they shoot so well. But I don't think the Americans will have a big enough market share to draw in the module kits.
