right at dusk yesterday evening I had about 7 does and yearlings in my shooting lane and picked out a big doe from the bunch, she was quartering towards me and I shot her just in front of her right shoulder with the 6.5 Grendel 115 gr Barnes TX, she hit the ground then came up running with the rest it was dark enough that I couldn't find a blood trail so I tracked her down earlier this morning very tiny blood trail but I saw the impact in my scope and knew it was a solid hit. found her about 85 -90 yards from where I shot her, wore my old butt out dragging her back to the road this morning out of the pine thicket she ran into,.
the Barnes TX 6.5Grendel had a full pass through after traveling almost 20" diagonally through her, she will be a nice pile of meat in the freezer
