I dunno, I kinda like it. And if it comes in under $400, I think I'd be a buyer for no other reason than having a "cheap" 22 lever gun to drag through the woods on those days I'd rather leave the nice guns at home. That, and the fact this new Winchester is a takedown and doesn't have an external safety pretty much clinches the deal for me. If it functions good, and is accurate, I could see it giving Henry a run for their money.
I'm glad to see that Winchester is getting back into the rimfire market, regardless of where the guns are made. And coming from a man with several pre-war Winchester rifles and shotguns, that's saying something. The new X-pert sporter with wood stock is also very interesting to me, and for the price I might be a buyer on it as well. I can't help but hope they'll re-introduce some type of pump action 22 as well; might not be interesting to some but it would certainly interest me.
