    New to loading for revolver

Up to now I have been reloading for 9mm and .45ACP Semi-Auto. Starting to work on loads for a .38 Spl. revolver. Will be used just for target shooting, so looking for advice on best (in your opinion) weight and type of bullet. Lead is out because the range I go to is indoor and does not allow...

Must do mod for Dillon systems

They do look good. Being a tightwad, I just used a Sharpie to mark a + on one side and a - on the other side of the block the adjustment bolt goes into. Works for me. To each his own. :)

    Best way to meter Unique

I have an electronic scale and when I put powder in the cup, I wait about 10 seconds or so just to make sure it does not change. Ya, I know, that makes things even slower. Ok with me. I only do about 200 rounds a week. Do plan on getting a balance beam scale just to double check. Santa might...

    Best way to meter Unique

I'm with Potatohead...I find hand measuring very relaxing. I am in no hurry to produce hundreds of rounds. It teaches patience...something I am in short supply of in many cases. :cuss:

    Chance to get powder

I already have Bullseye, 700X and Blue Dot. Just had a chance to get the ones I mentioned. Might go with the Longshot and AA#5

    Best way to meter Unique

I hand measure each load anyway and a powder trickler really comes in handy.

    Chance to get powder

I have spent a couple of hours trying to find data on these powders with very little luck.

    Chance to get powder

I have a chance to get some powder, but need some input before I make the decision. I am reloading for a 9mm XD9 and use 115gr to 147gr jacketed and plated bullets. The powders are: Titewad (not Titegroup), Longshot, PB, and AA#5. Any of these worth getting?

    9mm Unique load data

Managed to pick up some Unique powder today. Need some good plinking load data. Lyman's 49 only has data for JHP. I am using Montana Gold 124gr CMJ in my 9mm. From what I can see, loads start about 4.5 and go up to 6.2.

    124gr CMJ + Blue Dot

Used up all my 115gr. FMJ, so an now using Montana Gold 124gr CMJ. I know Blue Dot is not the best powder for 9mm, but I have some and want to use it up. When I look for data on 124gr and Blue Dot, the figures are all over the map!. Even Alliant had basically the same load for 115gr FMJ and...

    Bullet type and OAL

I am shooting the 9mm XD-9. Never heard of the system you mentioned. None of the manuals say anything. But, that doesn't mean it does not work!!

    Bullet type and OAL

The seating issue is what confuses me the most. I have a Dillon Square Deal B. Comes set from the factory for 9mm. I thought that it would seat any bullet to the same depth no matter what. Difference in the OAL would come from the difference in the length of the bullet used. My Winchester 115gr...

    Bullet type and OAL

Loading for an XD-9. So I guess as long as I am using the same seating depth for each, the OAL is not that big of a deal since the variation is rather small.

    Bullet type and OAL

Am using two different bullets: Winchester 115gr FMJ that is .594 from tip to base and Montana Gold 115gr FMJ that is .563 from tip to base. This causes the OAL to change from 1.158 on the Winchester to 1.146 on the MG. Both go on top of 4.7gr of Bullseye powder. Both OAL's are within specs. My...
