    Ruger Old Army Holsters

Check Cabela's. They have limited stock on a Triple-K flap holster, without the Ruger logo, for a 7.5 inch Blackhawk that should fit. I say that because I have an original Bianchi/Ruger flap holster for a 7.5 inch Blackhawk that fits my Old Army just fine. The holster is also on the Triple-K...

    The RUGER OLD ARMY Club

This is the one I use in my ROA and I have never had a problem loading it. I bought mine about 30 years ago and at that time they were advertised as being the right size for the Old Army. Lee also sold a 200 grain hollow point mold back then.

    Background Check Rule

I saw the collection a few years ago and haven't been back to the museum since so I didn't know that the display had been closed. I'll go by the museum when I get a chance just to check it out. I live in the Kershaw area not too far from Haile Gold Mine.

    Hard lead vs soft

My first revolver was a Navy Arms NMA in 1982. I was dumb and tried using wheel weights in it when I first started casting my own about 2 years later. I bent the link on my loading lever but was able to straighten it. I've only used pure lead since then in any of my replicas since then.

Yes, it's the same place. We must be neighbors, sort of. I live about 25 miles north of Camden. Have you seen the gun collection at the Camden Archives and Museum?

    Background Check Rule

I was in Lugoff SC today and walked into a pawn/gun shop and asked if they had any blackpowder guns and the man behind the counter told me that they didn't stock them because they wouldn't sell. He then added that not stocking them cut down on arguments. When I asked about that, he told me that...

    New Revolver

I was mistaken about the action work on my revolver. I talked to Bobby Tyler today and he told me that Ruger had subcontracted his shop to do the finish work only and Ruger did all the assembly in house so his shop did no action work on these Vaqueros.

    New Revolver

Bob You are looking at the same one. The case colors and bluing are by Bobby Tyler of Tyler Gun Works in Friona, Texas. While the gun is apart the action is also slicked up a little.

    New Revolver

It is very much like the one on the Talo website. The pictures don't do it justice.

    Good Fortune

I know this is in the wrong area but I wanted to share my good fortune with those of you who may not visit the revolver forum very often. I just received a Talo BT Special Edition Ruger Vaquero 1 of 500 from my three sons. I think they just covered all special occasions from now to next Christmas.

    New Revolver

I'm usually lurking on the blackpowder forum but I thought this forum would be the proper place to share my new gift. I just received a Talo BT Special Edition Ruger Vaquero 1 of 500 from my three sons. I think they just covered all special occasions from now to next Christmas.

Question about a Pietta 1858 revolver

I have a Navy Arms Remington with adjustable sights that was made by Pietta. I bought it in 1982, my first BP revolver. I also have a Traditions Pietta Remington that I bought in 2015. The frame of the newer revolver is quite a bit larger and the cylinder will not fit in the 1982 revolver.

    Great Buy

I have tried them and they fit just fine on my Piettas and my Ruger.

    Great Buy

I went into a gun shop in Camden, SC a few days ago to ask about blackpowder supplies. The owner said that he was selling off what he had and directed me to a small shelf where he had a few items left. Among the disorganized items, I found a set of Butler Creek Ruger Old Army stainless steel...
