I shoot in service rifle matches. You definitely need a coat. I use the Creedmoor basic canvas coat.

Do you think that the future of the CMP may be in jeopardy under the new administration? I feel that the program is still around because it flies very low under the radar and most non shooters have never heard of it. Can you imagine what the reaction will be when they(the new admin.) finds out...
Just finished watching womans trap(via the web) and was wondering what ammo do they use for the Olympics. It looked to me to be some very fast loads. I can't believe how fast those clays move and how quickly the shooters nail it.
I meant 2008 not 2009 Olympics ( big fingers small keyboard)
Not a camera but very cool

I use ww231 for 40 S&W all the time. 4.0gr for 180gr FMJ and 3.7gr for 180gr lead. These are very light loads for IDPA and Steel targets. PF=~130 out of my CZ75B.
Not only do I have them for my service rifles, I have one for my pistol.
Take a look:

This is a photo I lifted from another forum (thanks to the photographer) but I have the exact same setup. It's a little silly...

Thought you would get a kick out of it. Just what is a SSK rifle anyway??
You have to love the way the press and the police play this up as a big deal.
Just wondering ?
So, what range did he (the cop) suggest?
Man! I need to be more careful, I often carry my ammo (sometimes loaded in the mags, saves time) in the same range bag as my pistol. The ammo and gun are only separated by the gun sleeve/compartment...I think that is technically a...

They use them at high power matches around here. They are very cool. Although the photo doesn't show it well, they are around 5.5' high. Basically is is a ~1"...
Thanks Guys
So far the best price for FMJ is $45/1000 + shipping, these are pulled
The best price for lead is KEAD $30/1000 + shipping.
I use a lot of the KEADS in my 40s&W (it is the most accurate bullet I have found for my CZ75B, super hard & no leading). I'm just not sure if I would...
pulled bullets?
I found these prices on pulled bullets too. I was not sure how they would work....good price though. Leads me to wonder why they got pulled.
I haven't tried lead thru this barrel but it sure get fouled with copper using Georgia Arms "canned heat"
thanks
I'm looking for .30 110gr carbine bullets. Does anyone have a line on any in quan. of 1K or more. Found a few but in boxes of 100 for around $12 ea. I am using them as a plinking round, nothing fancy. Will plated bullets work? Found some for half the price but I thought that might strip off...
Thanks guys for all the suggestions.
I am looking into the local rifle club (LARC) as they shoot at a range only 40min away from us and have low power matches. I intend to be a student also so we can share in the experience together. I do know how to shoot a rifle (the basics) but don't...
