    Garand Problems...again

I am so lucky to have a Garand expert close by here in Richmond, VA. I'd be exasperated if I had to troubleshoot the old gun myself. Feel your pain!

    Henry .22 Lever Action unboxing

I've got just one .22 rifle, a bolt-action Ranger. I think Marlin or Mossberg made it as a store brand for Western Auto or some other store back in the '50s. A nice Henry .22 lever might be just the thing. Maybe go squirrel hunting again! (It's been years and years.) Also got an old Marlin 39a...

Ruger PC Carbine 9mm question for owners.

I bought one, I shot it, I liked it. A neat little rifle but I have no use for it (as in a plan to use it for something on a regular basis). So I put it on consignment to sell it because I could tell it was one of those that was going to sit in the back of the gun safe gathering dust. A good...

    Henry single shot rifles

I've never seen one in the flesh either. They look nice on the computer but would like to hold one in my hands to see if I like it.

    Henry single shot rifles

Was just wondering if anyone has one and what you think of it. I saw some pics and read about them on the Henry website - look sort of interesting. Funny, seems as I get older I like guns that hold fewer rounds rather than more!

Helpless Venezuelans lament losing guns, right to stand up to government

By all means go ahead and resign if that's the way you feel! Socialism is defined as government ownership of the means of production. With that goes the abolition of almost all private property and a contraction or elimination of all civil liberties.

    RAR 7.62X39 vs 77/357

I bought an old J.C. Higgins Model 50 in 30-06 at the gun show. The rifle sold at Sears back in the 1950s with a FN Mauser action and a chrome lined bore I'm told. So just in keeping with the old school theme I put a 4X Weaver on it. And it is the sharpest, cleanest sight picture of any scope...

What are mosins going for nowadays?

I don't know what the KGB markings are, can you fill me in? And I edited my first post where I called it a 91/56 rather than a 91/59, which it is marked as. Getting sloppy in my old age!

What are mosins going for nowadays?

I found this 91/59 at a gun show 10 years or so ago for $100. Didn't really know what it was other than a Russian WWII rifle. Bought a bunch of surplus ammo and have been shooting it off and on ever since. My buddy and I shoot old military rifles when we can and this one will hit a steel...

AR sight option for aging eyes

Thanks, the eye doc (saw him recently) says I'm a few years away from needing cataract surgery. I'll check out Burris and opticsplanet. Thanks for all the suggestions. Just what I needed to help me accept that it's time to give something other than irons a try.

AR sight option for aging eyes

Well, I guess I have to face reality finally. Approaching 70, shooting irons is harder and harder, especially with the short sight radius on a 16" Smith and Wesson Sport II. I use a bolt on AR carry handle with sights like I used 50 years ago in the service. Of course that was a 20" AR back...

    Where are they?

I'll keep searching for a Rossi cause I am a born cheapskate!

    Where are they?

I just got curious again about getting a .357 lever gun and see that it looks like no one has any Rossi Model 92s in stock. This could be old new to everyone but me but does anyone know why this is the case? Or if there is a distributor that has some? Don't see but a very few for sale used...

    Ruger American Ranch 5.56 nato

Some folks like irons. I'm one and I've always thought EVERY rifle should come with them. And I'd be willing to pay the price for them too. Something about a bare on top rifle just irks the heck out of me. You can't just buy it and shoot it - you gotta buy some more stuff or it's useless as is...
