A year or so ago, the Rossi web site listed pretty much every variant of their lever action rifles. For example, for .357, it listed the 16" carbine, with large loop and standard loop, 20" carbine, 20" rifle, 24" rifle, each in blue and stainless and maybe case hardened (I can't remember about that one). It repeated all that for both .44 and .45. Today, only the .45 shows most of these options. There are four variants each of .44 and .357 rifles, but no carbines in these calibers.
If you drill down into one of the .45 carbine pages, it says:
Available in .38/.357, .44 Mag., .45 Colt, .44-40 Win and .454 Casull. The R92 Round Barrel comes in two finish options - Blue and Stainless.
Note that the 44-40 and .454 Casull were never shown separately, just mentioned in the text as being available.
So are they're trying to simplify the web page to reduce the number of entries, or have they taken down the variants that are currently unavailable (maybe due to a manufacturing backlog, or customs holding up a shipment, or something)? Who knows? I can't imagine they'd drop the .357 carbine. That's got to be one of their best sellers here in the U.S.
I'm glad I bought mine when I did.
