I hope so. I love everything about living in the PNW except for the traffic and politics that have infected everything. I’ve been overseas for the last three years and just recently returned, having the new laws and pending legislation in my face (10rd mags, 10 day waits on ARs, etc) has been...
Hey all,
With a potential ban looming overhead, I’m really considering picking up a 1997 Springfield Loaded National Match M1A in 308 with the 22” stainless barrel.
It seems to be in great shape, and the shop is asking $1600 out the door for it. Based on the greenish finish of the bolt and...
I don’t think it’s too bad, I think it’s whatever was used to wipe down the gun for the last 90+ years. Good points though, I’ll be careful working on this thing but at the end of the day I’m going for functionality.
Rex, I couldn’t agree more. My gun buddy and I were talking about that the...
Hey everyone,
Picked up this old 97 today. It’s definitely a “brown” gun, and seems to function fine. Planning on taking it out shooting soon once I address the crack developing in the stock just behind the receiver…will probably end up refinishing the stock when I do that since it’s pretty...
I'm gonna go ahead and disagree with what most other folks are saying...not every non-FTF transaction on Armslist is a scam.
The biggest red flag is that they said they CANNOT do a FTF sale...how is that possible even with COVID? Absolutely sounds scammy!
In your case, I would be extremely...
I run an Accuracy International AXSA with a Thunderbeast Arms Ultra 9 CB. POI shift is usually less than .2 mil between on/off, across three different barrels (16" 308 factory contour, 24" 308 fluted MTU, 26" 6CM medium palma).
That said, the Ultra 9 is my only centerfire can, and is one of the...
Yeah, and a great way to clean your silencer is by soaking it in a mix of vinegar and hydrogen peroxide. Effective? Yes. Toxic and will probably give you cancer eventually? 100%.
“Mommy, how did grandpa get so sick?” Lmao
Also, this thread is from 2014. Probably time to lock and make it a...
Please, please don’t “be that guy” with alternating rounds in his gun...Or do...whatever floats the ol boat, right?
As far as everyone else is concerned, cartridge type is pretty much irrelevant. 9mm, 44mag, and everything in between has essentially the same “one-shot-Stop” average based on a...
Really eyeing these two pistols lately. My heart desires the TSO..but the Shadow 2 is a bit cheaper and is a fine pistol as well.
Has anybody here owned or shot either of them?
Does CZ offer LEO/MIL pricing on the TSO? I know the Shadow 2 is on their (very generous) price list, but I don't see...
The irony sure is entertaining!
Interestingly enough it wasn't a polymer part that failed. I bet there's a way to drop most guns (or their parts) that would result in a breakage somewhere. Except for CZ products, obviously. :neener:
Where did you get this information? My understanding as per the Ruger website is that only pistols made prior to June 1, 2017 require servicing.
Pics for posterity:
I mean this one lasted almost 3k. I read on the ruger forum that if you let the rebound spring get/stay dirty that it will break sooner. Maybe that contributed to its early failure here.
