    Bigiron Barrels

So Arthur is out of jail again. Why am I not surprised? I bet he'll turn up here soon enough, along with a few other forums I knew he frequented. I know for a fact that a lot of us here got screwed by him, and I unknowingly helped in that somehow, I'm sure. I'm just glad I got far, far...

Big Iron Barrels Group Buy: Anyone else not get their order???

Funny, my records (and the safe deposit box copy, and the copies I've distributed among family, and the copies my lawers have) show otherwise, right down to the names of the gentlemen I dealt with back east when picking up the truck. I paid for everything with a Washington Mutual credit card...

    French 1917 Semi-Automatic Rifle?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chauchat Unless I missed something on that page, it's the Chauchat LMG. EDIT: The first time I clicked the link, it took me to the Chauchat. Now it's showing what you're talking about. Neat!

Still in business - and Thom (manyirons) IS REAL, as am I (Thomas L.) as is Jule. The reason you'll see some of ManyIrons' posts in German is that Jule sometimes used his account in the past. As for the business running into problems... sort of. It's taken longer than we hoped/expected to...

Simple oversight on my part, thanks for pointing it out everyone! I've removed the items from Auction Arms. :) dwave - you'll note that I've been keeping the items in that thread updated re:sold or available. Quite right, when it comes to auction sites!

    Victory!...kinda

I got my FID in MA when I still lived with my parents. I disobeyed them and bought a shotgun and kept it in the house anyway... and you know what? Nothing happened, and they found out when I moved out and they saw it, not a moment before. My dad raised an eyebrow, my mom was shocked, but they...

Is 308 that much more accurate than 7.62x54?

Oh, come now... the 7.62x54R ammo floating around isn't that bad.

Is 308 that much more accurate than 7.62x54?

Well, if you handload the correct diameter bullets (find out by slugging the bore) and find an accurate load, along with free-floating the barrel, you ought to be able to produce very good results in a good Mosin. :)

    Getting Better w/ My Revolver...PIC

StrikeFire83 - I know that you think 15 yards is good and all, but it's really, really fun to fire out to 50, 75, or even 100 yards with a snubnose.... when you realize that you're making hit after hit, it's incredibly gratifying.:)

Transfer question between two people in a state??

And if both parties are in MA, they still need to go through an FFL, since MA state laws says so.

Anyone ever used a Browning Auto-5....

No worse than the buffer spring in an AR-15, in my opinion.

    Firearm Encyclopedia?

I have a few dozen books on firearms, and there are still gaps in terms of complete history, etc. For a good start, try any of Ian Hogg's books. They're good. Also, "Weapons : an international encyclopedia from 5000 B.C. to 2000 A.D" by Diagram Group is very good and covers more than just...
