Fred, thanks.
He is married to that rail & ghost ring set up. I guess he wants back up.
He also agrees on accuracy of that gun. Guess I'll have to get a 45-70 :)
My friend is a new hunter in Ohio and shoots a Marlin 1895GS (45-70). He has XS Pic Rail with ghost rings and wants to mount an intermediate or long eye relief scope (see photos).
The first photo is a pic of his rail and the second is the setup he is shooting for.
His shots will be between...
Guys,
Need a little help. I need to sell my "like new" Dillon 550B set up. In this case "Like New" means this press has been pulled less than 50 times with the 45 ACP dies. The other two powder measure, caliber conversion kits and dies have not been touched. I have 3 powder quick change...
Trying to decide on first load. Load will be for practice and plinking.
I measured some WWB 45 ACP and came up with the following for OAL:
1.269
1.268
1.269
1.267
1.273
1.266

Thanks Much

Thanks Much
It's a beginners question so be nice.
I am setting up my Dillon 550B for 45 ACP. Trying to work on the proper OAL. My reloading manual says 1.260 for BERRY's 230gr. RND. Had fits trying to get close to 1.260. Closest I can get is 1.250 - 1.258ish . The nose still does not reach the end...
