    What's wrong with this picture?

Angel Eyes is missing part of a finger. His guitar playing days are over. I'd want to fill a grave or two also.

    Reasons for keeping "safe queens"?

My safe queen is a beautiful FN Hi Power with a high gloss blue finish. It was my pride and joy. In a jackass attempt at home-gunsmithing I buggered up the frame. It still functions fine--for now--but the damage is evident and it makes me sick. I can't stand to take it out of the safe so in the...

Are Sights Really Necessary on a Concealed Carry Pistol?

If they weren't looking through the sights how do you know the sights were properly aligned on target?? My point is that you can have perfect sight alignment but if you push, pull, or otherwise mangle your trigger manipulation you will not hit what you were aiming for. Just go to any gun range...

Are Sights Really Necessary on a Concealed Carry Pistol?

Trigger control is much more important than sight alignment.

    I don't like snakes

Seems like a pretty darn good marketing ploy after decades of sales and values going through the roof.

    P08 1916 9mm (Thoughts)

Still makes me ill that I sold my byf for $450 when in between jobs years ago.

My most sharpened knife. (Serrated knife lovers open at your own risk)

This old butcher knife is my most sharpened knife https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/6u93ev2qa5akhfgkbdvki/IMG_2231.JPG?rlkey=stghkxv562v9keku8eq5tum53&dl=0

Swords found in Judean Desert caves ranked as most exciting archaeology story of 2023

National Geographic gives top slot to discovery of 1,900-year-old, remarkably preserved Roman blades, likely cached by Bar Kochba rebels in one of 800 caves near Dead Sea. The swords were found inside a fissure in a cave near Ein Gedi National Park in the Dead Sea area in June. Estimated to be...

Wearing out the springs in a mag

When I was much younger I bought a Squires-Bingham .22 rifle as my first firearm purchase. Didn't put more than a couple hundred rounds through it before the mag spring was useless. If the mag spring is of poor steel/poorly tempered it doesn't matter how long you leave it compressed or how many...

Tell me about the AMT .380 DAO

I had an AMT that was a horrible jam-o-matic. And they were jams that were impossible to clear in a hurry. I wouldn't buy another unless I could shoot it first.

    Buck 110 - A good choice

I got lucky a few years ago at Walmart after Christmas. They had a bunch of Christmas stuff on sale including a Buck Christmas tin that came with a 110 for $17.

Gonna give McCarbo a shot to accessorize my SUB2000

Bought an Mcarbo CZ75 stainless steel guide rod to replace the factory polymer. Has a nice thin ring at one end to make the guide rod and spring captive. Nicely manufactured, looks classy when field stripped, and works fine.

    Your favorite paper target mods

I recycle used printer paper and junk mail by taping blank side out onto an existing silhouette target. Half a sheet for center mass and a 1/4 sheet for the head.

    Need Opinion Please

I would stick to the Ruger and funds permitting, invest that in ammunition.
