Looks like Remington like 6-48. That was the bead size for my 870

Well it is not my rifle, but I think he wants it to look very sleek/clean. Plus, when we hunt we can walk miles and miles. Every little bit of weight savings helps the shoulder. :) I will let him know the receiver plug screws will fit. Thanks!

Exactly. Last week at the range some guy dropped an autoloader, as it was falling it pointed right in my direction. I had no idea if it was loaded or not, so it freaked me out pretty bad.

Ahhh, that makes sense now. The factory bead is on there pretty tight, guess I will just have to use a little more force. I ordered the 6-48, I hope that is the size I need. It said that is the size I need for the 870 on TRU GLO's website.

Hey guys, I have a new 870 Wingmaster (built in 2007 I believe). It has an ivory front bead and I would like to change it out for a fiber optic bead. Is the factory ivory bead just screwed in? How do I replace it?
