Looking to put a Leopold on a scout Mauser. I like the weight and size of the 2.5 fixed but a little worried about longer shots as my eyes are not so good. I am also a little worried that the 1.5-4 will have eye relief issues at different settings. Experience says...?

Good choice. For the intended purpose of a scout rifle, variable power is sort of silly.

I missed the chance to reply but... in my experience, anyway, fixed power Leupolds are as tough and reliable as scopes can be made. Good choice.
