Think my LGS has a box of Remington on the shelf. Another shop 30 min NW proly has some. 20 min NE is a commercial reloader.....dunno how much he does of it.

Mind you....we havent been HP for deer until last 3 yrs

35 rem and 300 savage i see at some of the more in-tune mom and pop shops. They even have .222 rem

theres a few boxes on the shelf at a couple of stores, and the local stores will also order anything you want.....if THEY can find it.
dunno the cost off hand tho.

Just saw some yesterday at the local Runnings in the sporting goods dept.. I was checking out the 4 different varieties of 35 Remington ammo they had so I could tell my buddy who has a 35 Remington. Wasn't looking for 32 Spl. so I didn't notice the price, but thought it was cool just to see some on the shelf. That place surprises me sometimes with their ammo availability.

And IIRC 32 Special brass can be formed from 30-30 by one pass through a 32 Spl. die..... Just an FYI for the handloaders out there. Other than bullet diameter the cases are similar. Just don't mistake a 32 Special with a 30-30 headstamp for a 30-30 and attempt to fire it in a 30-30 firearm.

That would be a real concern. Hopefully the 32 Spl bullet is enough bigger that it would not chamber.

How available locally? Not much. I once tried to find a .32 Special to shoot in the black powder cartridge matches. .32 Special rifles, cartridges, and brass were not on the shelves locally.

Forming .32 Special from .30-30: Wouldn't one need to expand the inside of the .30-30 case neck before resizing the .30-30 case in a .32 Special die?

Never worked with 32 Special brass but if I were forming it from 30-30 brass I have a bunch of Sinclair neck expanding mandrels here that would make that pass through the 32 Spl. die a lot easier. A tiny bit of Imperial Sizing Die Wax would also make life easier. IMG_6539.JPG

It doesn't fit. I had a 32 sneak into my 3030 box.

That's a very good thing that it won't fit. If it did it could ruin your day. I have no experience with 32 Spl.'s and didn't know for sure. Thanks much for the information.

Bass Pro near me had some on the shelf the last time I was scoping out .35 Rem for myself, but I don't have a .32 Win Spl and can’t recall the price.

I did recall seeing .416 Rem Mag at $120.00 a box of 20 though! :what:

As the others said, the internet retailers will have what you’re looking for.

Stay safe.

Target Sports USA lists Remington Core-Lokt 170 gr. 32 Win. Special at $29.85 for a 20 round box. Sounds pretty high to me but I'm not familiar with 32 Spl. prices. Next time I'm at Runnings I'll check their prices on in stock 32 Spl. ammo. If I ever get a 32 Special I'll also be looking for reloading dies and bullets. Might even be there tomorrow.

I've seen it in the LGS here, but haven't looked in a while. It might have been Winchester. I have a .32 but I don't shoot it; it belonged to my great-grandfather.

Update : Was at Runnings today and there were a couple different varieties of 32 Spl. available. Forgot the bullet weights but it was all in the 28-30 dollar a box range. Just think..... If I picked up a rifle in 32 Spl. I could just get a couple boxes for chronographing, accuracy testing, hunting, etc. and then I'd have reloadable 32 Spl. brass. I better stop thinking so much.

I also vouch for Internet ammo sellers. I personally never seen at my Acdemy or any Walmart’s.
