Hello everyone, I have a simple question. Can a Winchester 94 chambered in 30-30 fire Win32 Special?

I bought a couple misc boxes of old Wester X, Peters, and inside the box is was a mix of Western & Peters 30-30 and some Western & Rem UMC Win32 special.

I lined them up, far as I can tell the cases are identical. But the bullet on the 32 special is a tad longer than the 30-30. Which tells me its a heavier grain probably.

Anyway, just curious if I should sell this stuff or if its safe to shoot in my Model 94? The condition for this 30-40yr ammo is clean so it'd be a shame to get rid of it. I'd rather use it if possible.

Thanks

No...not safe to shoot, different diameter bullets for the two calibers. Stick with .30-30 ammo. Older .30-30 ammo may be marked as .30 WCF. The .32 Winchester special is a different caliber.

Bummer, I have about 20rds of that stuff. Oh well, I have plenty of 30-30 to play with....... wanna buy some 32 special? :D

Yeah, I'd be interested.
