Do you own a Taurus G2/pt111 9mm

My son has a G2 and I make his practice ammo hence I get a lot of trigger time with it. Not sure I'd see the sense in putting a threaded barrel on it except for the added barrel length. Other than replacing the guide rod, which may or may not have been needed, it has been 100% reliable and combat accurate out to 15 yards or so for him.

I seen those too, but never really paid them any attention. How much are mags and can you still find spare wear parts?

I am pretty sure I got a spare mag for my BM. I don't remember the cost... maybe $30? I have no idea on the parts. I'm assuming springs would be NBD. My Star Super B and BM seem to be well-made steel service pistols. It looked like they had been shot very little before I got them, and I don't shoot them all that often, so I'm not too worried about parts wearing out.

I'm not disparaging my G2 at all. I like it. Mine has been completely reliable and I shoot it well. However, my friend got a BM in very nice condition for $149 plus shipping and FFL. I am fond of steel pistols in general and 1911's in particular, so for me personally the BM might seem like "better" pistol. That is very relative. Doubtless many would prefer the G2. Different strokes for different folks.

I am not aware of any brand-new 9mm pistols at the same price point that I would prefer to the G2. I had a Kel-Tec P11 and the trigger was just horrid. The G2 trigger is kind of weird and mushy, but not stiff and I can shoot it pretty well.

Mine G2 was $229 plus shipping and FFL, IIRC. My BiL has had trouble with the bluing on his (but no other problems), so I paid a little extra for stainless steel.

Here is a 10 shot group at 21 feet from a rest. I know it's not 25 yards which is the normal standard for measuring accuracy, but it is what is...This was with 124gr Lawman TMJ, which I've found to be the most accurate round from the gun. I discovered when I got to the range that I forgot my glasses, maybe I'll do better at the next outing. I also forgot my tools although I probably should have someone watch me shoot the pistol before I go adjusting the sights.:

I have 3 of them, but I wouldn't be interested in a threaded barrel. I have a few other guns I might be, someday, but I don't really care about that stuff.
