I added a pocket clip to a Swiss Army Knife I recently picked up. I popped the non-logo scale off the knife, aligned the used pocket clip I had, so the holes wouldn't interfere with the press fit section and drilled away. Then I forcefully drove the 3 screws in slowly, so I didn't drive the screws too far and strip the plastic threads I made. Putting the scale back on flush required me to stand on the knife, but I don't think that was related the the clip or screws I installed, just the tightness of the press fit. Without standing on the knife, I could see a gap between the scale and the knife. vict with clip.jpg

Excellent.

An idea well worth your time.

I'd love that on one of the smaller inox units to slip between the buttons on the front of a shirt.

I had to look on the internet to be sure, but I believe it's the Hiker model. I won a lot of 4 Victorinox knives off ebay last week and it's one of them. I got so used to carrying a "tactical" type knife aka Benchmade with a pocket clip that I decided to try adding one to one of the SAKs and so far it seems pretty sturdy and is more handy that having it swim around in my pocket.

There's a clip called the Nite Ize hip clip for like $8 on Amazon. It has an adhesive on the back that's pretty strong a day or so after application. Ive had one for 2 or 3 years on my Hunter SAK and it's very sturdy.

Like what you did with that
By the time one has reached my age and the proud father of three sons one starts to run out of Christmas Ideas. For the last four I’ve solved it by buying three identical Victorinox pocket knives in the medium to large size. Last year it was the soldiers knife.
