No, I don't need it. I want it.

I owned a 4" barreled Neos for several years and I even had the carbine kit for that gun for a few years. IMO, the best reason to have a Neos is if you can get a carbine kit. The mag release of a Neos is very similar to an AR15.

Having said all that, I sold my Neos and Carbine kit a few years ago. My main gripe with the Neos was the grip angle, small grip circumference, and the dual safety levers above the hand that weren't in a natural to use location.

I replaced my Neos with a pedestrian Buckmark Camper. I added a rail with integrated rear sight and put a red dot on it. The way the Buckmark fits my hand, and the traditional pistol controls make me like the Buckmark much better. Plus the Buckmark trigger is better and easier to tune as well.

I have no Ruger autos, though. If I did, I suppose adding the Beretta space gun would be appealing just for the variety.

Edit to add: The Neos grip does fit smaller hands nicely, which worked well with my wife and daughters on the one time they went handgun shooting with me years ago.

I've shot most 22s except the Neos, very few have issues and the ones that do, well that's what the warranty dept is for. And every gun company has on because they all put out a turd occasionally.

If you want a Neos get one, the carbine kit looks like a blast.
My braced Ruger Charger is a hoot.

I have no input other than not being *moved* enough by any Buckmarks or Victories that have crossed my palm to prefer them over any of my vintage .22 autos but, I will eagerly await experienced comparisons of any two of the three.

I'm certainly willing to be swayed into one but so far, the heft & feel have done little for me.

Todd.
Same here. I have a Buck Mark UDX Plus, an AMT Lightning (essentially a Ruger MkII Target with a Clarke trigger) and have had other Rugers. I’ve handled and shot several other modern semi-auto .22 LRs. I preferred the Buck Mark among this group. But once I got my first Browning International Medalist I pretty much lost interest in the others and have since acquired a couple additional Medalists (one IM and one regular Medalist).

"A bit" up-market?!? Goodness gracious, at those prices, I could buy all 3 for the price of the Hammerli or the Pardini.

Are you dead set on an auto? I keep seeing the TOZ-35 pop up for sale various places and every time I almost pull the trigger...

It's a Russian-made Olympic "free pistol" competition gun. The ones I see come with unfinished "block" grips so you can shape them to fit your hand perfectly. It's a single-shot, but lord, some of the groups I see people putting up with these...

And I keep seeing them for under $400...

I am partial to the Ruger Mark series pistols. Have owned Mark I, II, and Mark III 22/45.

If you want a nice 22lr pistol with a good trigger out of the box, get a Buckmark.
I prefer the Mark series pistols + a Volquartsen tigger job. I did that with my 22/45 Lite and have nice short, crisp trigger under 2lbs

The TOZ-35 is a lot of fun, but what I really want is the lower pistol in your picture...the Baikal IZH-46M. When I hesitated, they went out of stock. When they were available again, they had more than doubled in price

Definitely cool, but not really what I have in mind right now.

I love the Beretta. It is beautiful. His automobile designs are iconic. I think his SImca coupe is wonderful; even now. You can see the similarity with the Neo. You cannot beat italian designers. Not my favorite country in the world but good gracious, the elegance of italian design is timeless. I love the Beretta.

I consider all three of them to be like Marie Lavoau. Anyone remember the line in Bobby Bare's song about her? "Marie, you're too d----d ugly for me." Compared to them a glock looks good. I'll stick with my Ruger MKs.

While I am a Ruger MK kind of guy I am seeing lots of Smith Victories starting to show up at our Tactical .22 shoots. Initially it seemed they were a bit Ammo sensitive, but that seems to have worked itself out as I have not seen one jam in quite a while. I only see one or two people using the Brownings, but they work well for our game and the owners are passionate about the gun.
My wife likes the looks of the Neos but it just does not work for me.
Smith 41 is the best.
You would be we served by any of the three.

I had a Ruger bull barrel, nice gun. Currently have a Buckmark which I'm very happy with. Stock trigger is excellent, did the spring flip and it's even better. Nicer than a friend's Ruger with a custom trigger.

That being said, one of my biggest regrets is selling my Hi-Standard Victory model, which was a much better gun in all regards than any other .22 I've owned. If you can get a line on one of those....
