I'd pick 165 golden sabers loaded by doubletap. If doubletap was out I'd go with the silvertips.

Doubletap 165gr Gold Dots are HOT. They are however manageable in my G29 which is what I plan to carry this summer.

I sent this pistol to Teddy Jacobson for his "Street Reliability Package". I use it for a duty weapon. For CCW i carry it in a Versa Max 2.

As for manufactured ammo I would suggest doubletap online or Silvertips if you can find some in your local shops.

Know what you mean, Sgt. Mine's been a real shooter. I've carried it IWB, OWB and in a Bianchi Triad ankle holster.

My G29 actually shoots several 10mm HP loads VERY tightly, including Double Tap's 165gn Golden Sabers and 180gn Gold Dots, Winchester's STHPs, Hornady's factory 180gn 10mm XTP load and the 155gn Gold Dots from Georgia Arms. This little thing shoots them all quite accurately. Surprised me, really.

By the way, the "range guru's" claim about "overpenetration" is uninformed, over-hyped BS. Ignore it. Remember, underpenetration will get you killed.

Very nice heaters guys, I also forgot to mention for plate shooting I've been casting 175gr fltn using Lee 6 cavity along with the 175gr swc 6 cavity for target this way I not only double my production it also lets the other mold kool. I usually pan lube my own cast's 1 lbs of bees wax or parafin 1 lbs of vasaline and a table spoon of STP . Stick the bullets in the oven @ 200 deg and pour to desired level and use an expanded drilled casing for a cookie cutter.

For defense use, I think a 175 gr. Silvertip travelling at 1250 fps or so is just great... not too hot, easy to control, not too hard on the gun, and not mild either.

So far, my tens are a blued Delta Elite which I love, a DW Razorback which I love, and a new GLock 29, yep, I love it too!

For defense in 10mm I like to use Doulbe Taps 200gr JHP

duncan... mine was made right before CZ bought DW last year and I bought it new a couple of months ago. DW is planning a reissue of the Razorback for sometime in the very near future. New production will not have front cocking serrations, will be fixed sights, will not have front strap checkering.
