Last year was a terrible Christmas around our house, broke, got nothin'. I managed to get the wife a Trac Fone for 20 bucks at Wallyworld. She was all depressed, neither of us working, she was trying to get her disability. Well, she got it, I made some decent money this year, and we had a much better Christmas. I got a nice electric meat grinder. Now, I'm thawing pork and venison and need to run down to the store tomorrow and get some sausage casing. :D Kid ain't got here, yet. Might get some primers or something. She ask what I wanted and I told here standard primers, large or small pistol. That's always a good present. :D

Just figured out why we didn't get our guns this year.....

My Christmas was pretty good this year. After evaluating finances in Sept., I informed the wife that she was buying me a revolver for Christmas. Ended up with a nice 28-2 to watch over my Security Six. Probably the first firearm related Christmas present I've had since getting a popgun 40 years ago.

My Christmas

Well, the wife and I decided to quit exchanging gifts this year (her idea) and just concentrate on the kids. I have 4 year old and 2 year old daughters. However, I took some of my own money and bought a used Ruger P90. It's rough on the outside (obviously well used) but mechanically is very solid.

This was my first try with a .45 and I have to say that I think I have found a new favorite round.

Well, I never get anything for Christmas except that which I buy myself. No family members celebrate christmas, so I'm left in the cold. You guys are lucky you get anything.

hey 420stainless how do u like that 28-2 ? i picked up one nearly identical to yours back in oct.mine is a highway patrollman.gotta love those pinned and recessed n-frames of yesteryear!:D

hkenvy,

From what I can tell, it is very nice. All the mechanics appear to be rock solid and as near as I can determine, it has been shot very little in its existance. Since it was a Christmas present of sorts, I promised I wouldn't shoot it until after Christmas. Hopefully when I take it to the range for the first time in the next couple of weeks I won't find out there was a functional reason it hasn't seen much use:uhoh: .

A few days back, I talked with a guy at the range, who was doing his first shooting of a new Dan Wesson 1911 model. Months back he had mentioned to his wife that he liked the reviews and that it would be nice to have one. Guess what showed up under the tree?

Me: "You have a great wife!"

Him: "Yup!"

Future Mrs. Noir, are you listening?
